Marcus Barnett has developed an international reputation for making gardens and landscapes for private and public clients at home and abroad.
Established in 2004, they are one of the leading garden and landscape design practices in the UK.
Dr Logic started working with Marcus and his team in 2009, when we supported them moving from PC to Mac (one of our favourite projects to work on!). Since then, Marcus’ studio and his team has grown in size and stature. They’ve gone through two office moves, which we’ve supported, and they have also won three Gold Medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
As a company, they’re looking for an IT partner that knows them well and can keep pace with them as their business grows and their needs evolve. The studio runs a number of design applications, so we’ve worked with them to ensure their machines can handle their demands.
Over the past eight years, we’ve upgraded their servers twice, helped them move to Google Workspace for email hosting and improved their network performance and security. More recently, we supplied a VoIP phone system for them.
The work that Marcus’ team generates is their most valuable asset, so we’ve put in place a highly robust backup solution which encompasses onsite, offsite and cloud-based destinations. We have also worked with their Office Manager on their business continuity and disaster recovery plans, to ensure that if there was a major event, the studio could be up and running again within minutes.
