Bisset Adams is an award-winning architectural practice founded in Clerkenwell in 1994. The company is a 42-strong team of architects, interior designers, project managers and brand specialists. They are well known in certain sectors: public libraries and archives design, automotive retailing, workplace and higher education.
Bisset Adams approached us after moving offices in 2015. The first key task was to carry out a full review of the server and backup solutions in place, and suggest upgrades to keep the infrastructure in line with the rapidly evolving industry standards.
With any server solution, our priority and theirs was to ensure a highly robust and efficient solution with bulletproof backup and a clear process for disaster recovery. In order to achieve this, we have installed a Synology server onsite, with an offsite replica in a data centre. We also provide CrashPlan backup for remote workers and the management team computers.
Being a large practice, we provide deskside support onsite twice a week to ensure we’re maintaining the systems and network. This also means we get to know everyone really well and understand what’s going on in the business. We also have remote monitoring on all their Macs, so we’re alerted to any issues which can then be managed through our helpdesk.
In 2016, we assisted in a major office relocation, which included supporting users across temporary locations, whilst the new office was completed. We also implemented a new wireless network for the new office and provided a leased line, giving a super-fast 100mbs download and upload). New Meraki access points also provide their secure firewall and guest wifi.
Our team love working with the team at Bisset Adams. As well as being a highly innovative Architectural practice, the team are relaxed and friendly. Our advice is trusted and the management team understand the importance of investing in IT.
“The support we receive from the team at Dr Logic is second to none”

Established in 1969, HarrisonParrott is an International artist management company with offices in London, Munich and Paris. They represent an exceptional list of performers from emerging talent to internationally renowned musicians and artists. Dr Logic started working with HarrisonParrott in 2018 when they made the decision to move to an outsourced managed service provider.
Back in 2012, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing and friend Ed Williams could not have imagined how successful their newly-launched gourmet sweet range, Candy Kittens,
would become. An innovative confectionary that focused on quality and used the best possible natural ingredients.
Starting with the ambition of knocking Haribo off the shelf, fast forward seven years and the future is looking sweet for Candy Kittens. With a £3m turnover, a workforce of over
20, and a product range in major retailers including Asda, Morrison, Tesco, Sainsbury, WH Smith and Boots, growth for the brand has been unrelenting.
This rate of growth has required Candy Kittens to bolster its infrastructure to support its future ambitions. Managing Director Ed Williams;
“In the early days, we were able to cope with our systems internally but as the company developed it soon became clear that we needed a higher level of support and engaged
the services of an external IT company. However, finding a suitable IT professional that suited our needs was going to be harder than we had anticipated. Design is very important to our product development, so our preferred system is Apple Mac and we soon became very frustrated with the support we were getting.
“Dr Logic is completely different, though! After moving through a number of outsourced options, we finally found a Mac specialist who instantly understood our needs and was
able to provide advice on new systems to improve our business. We needed to ensure that our systems are robust and, in the early stages of our relationship, Dr Logic helped us to prepare us for future growth. They were on hand when we were buying new equipment and I don’t mind admitting that we lean on them completely for downloading new systems, the installation of software, as well as advice and assistance daily.
“We have a direct line to a helpdesk where Dr Logic’s experts can provide us with remote support on a daily basis if we need it. But the most valued support is from our dedicated engineer who visits us weekly and does routine checks, sorts out any problems, and updates.”
Like many businesses, the organisational culture is very important to Candy Kittens. As Ed puts it: “Relationships are crucial in business and Dr Logic integrates with us – in fact,
they integrate completely to the extent they are now an extension of our team. I am more than happy to recommend their services. They have done a great job and
what’s important too is that they are very competitively priced. It is rare to find a company that exceeds expectations, but they have more than justified their price tag and
we couldn’t do without them now.”
London creative agency Columns Design is a branding and communications specialist, producing integrated campaigns for a broad range of clients in a variety of industries from oil and petrochemicals, to hotels, banking, healthcare and education.
Production Director, Will Howard: “Columns have been an independent agency for 15 years and we really work hard to provide the right creative solutions for our clients through a mix of communication channels, whether it’s digital, print, events, DM, social, or a mix of all. Macs offer the best solution for us to produce our creative work – from creation, illustration and image editing through to interactive design, animation, and video production. Having made this choice we looked at the best support on offer to maintain our systems and provide a robust backup work on behalf of our clients.”
Columns historically used an external IT partner with a presence in London and a help desk based in Sri Lanka, but when this company chose to focus on their help desk operations, Columns had to source a new IT partner to match the agency’s requirements.
This was a time-consuming and not straightforward undertaking, and having been dissatisfied with two subsequently appointed IT support providers Columns felt that Dr Logic was the perfect partner, which they sourced through the Apple Consultants Network.
“Dr Logic were completely different. We have an agency of almost 30 people, all using different types of IT equipment, and we’d reached the point where we needed comprehensive support urgently. Dr Logic came to meet us the same afternoon and having identified a critical issue whilst undertaking an introductory review, immediately implemented a stop-gap solution for us.
“They were very clear about their approach and proposed a plan to fit with our business. The initial priority was to replace our core infrastructure and to offer advice on protecting our ongoing work and archive before looking at how we could improve things.”
The comfort of instant help via the telephone is an important service that Dr Logic provides and the staff at Columns often make use of the facility to sort out day-to-day problems. But, to supplement the remote support on offer, Dr Logic also provides Columns with a dedicated engineer who visits their offices on a bi-weekly basis.
Will continued: “We would definitely recommend Dr Logic. Roman and his team have given us the level of reassurance that we require. They assessed our existing end-of-life IT structure and quickly and efficiently provided us with solutions relevant for our business, as it currently stands but also with an eye to the future, and consistently keep looking out for us.
“They took a flexible approach to business as well and changed their contract terms to suit our needs – something that we have not experienced with other suppliers before – and the fact that we are still with them three years on speaks for itself!”
- Will Howard, Production Director

Copper Brown is a music recording studio in North London, which opened in April 2017. It’s a studio with a difference, being right on the high street in North Finchley, so making state-of-the-art facilities available and accessible.
We’d been working on transforming an empty space in north London into an amazing recording studio. I needed to find the IT expertise to develop the right infrastructure for the studio and deliver it to a tight deadline. I found Dr Logic via Google, but I also checked out their reviews on the Apple Consultants Network and liked what I saw.
We needed a server solution capable of handling and backing up all the music being created in the studios. Next, individual recording suites needed to be wired into the network. Finally, we wanted a wireless network that would provide the same coverage deep behind the thick walls of the recording booths.
The team from Dr Logic were great at understanding our requirements and the need to get on with the job as quickly as possible. They’ve given us great wireless coverage throughout the studio and I’ve got a high-level of confidence in the server solution, which was vital, given the business we’re in.
I’m very happy to recommend Dan Falzon and the Dr Logic team.

Insanity Artists was established in 2003 and has now become a global entertainment company, representing clients signed to major and independent record labels as well as publishing companies across the music, broadcast, and digital industries.
And that takes a lot of coordination as Insanity’s Director of Legal & Business Affairs, Chris Parker, explained: “Like most of the entertainment industry, we use Apple equipment to run our operations, which has served us well through the years. The company has grown organically about 20% year on year so, unsurprisingly, there came a time when we wanted to upgrade our systems and we needed the support of Mac experts to guide us through the process”.
“With many names, we represent being the best in their field, it was only appropriate that we ensured that our IT systems were handled by a trusted supplier so we looked to the Apple Consultant Network directory and found Dr Logic.”
Following a meeting with Dr Logic, Insanity engaged the IT service provider to create a new infrastructure that would support it through further growth, introducing new project management software and testing the systems before any organisational change was implemented. With new offices opening in the US Insanity needed to make sure any systems would equip them internationally. Dr Logic has been able to recommend changes that would help them do business effectively and efficiently.
“We now run a tight system that has very robust data security software with a two-stage backup system that makes sure everything is always secure. We also have good visual communications for global working and the next move will be for us to implement a completely cloud-based system so that remote working is fully supported.” Said Chris.
Insanity needs support on a daily basis, which is provided through a remote helpdesk and Dr Logic also provides support out-of-hours. A dedicated engineer visits Insanity’s offices every week to provide a physical presence, proactive maintenance and deal with more complex issues.
When it came to data protection legislation changes, Dr Logic also stepped in to help the Insanity staff. The company needed to embrace GDPR so turned to Roman who suggested a suitable partner that was able to train their staff appropriately.
Chris concluded: “We love the fact that Dr Logic is proactive as well as reactive, and it’s great that they are growing too – it is much nicer dealing them than a corporate robotic company who don’t know your business. Together we have travelled a long distance over the last six years. It’s hard to find a good IT provider that matches their flexibility and expertise. They add incredible value and the service they provide is second to none.”
- Chris Parker, Director of Legal & Business Affairs
Engenie Ltd provides a UK-wide network of rapid charging stations for electric vehicles giving convenient access to recharging EVs on the road, with a quick easy contactless payment system. The company was established less than five years ago but already has a rapidly expanding network of charging stations in well-lit, convenient locations with easy access, such as supermarkets, restaurants and other retail outlets.
With convenience at the centre of Engenie’s business proposition, it is not surprising that they looked for this in their own suppliers, so when it came to sourcing a managed service
provider for their IT support they turned to Dr Logic.
Nadia Zareh, Internal Operations Manager said “We needed support for our IT systems that matched our ethos, and found it with Dr Logic. We have a small team of staff in-house and put a big emphasis on relationships, so the integration of an external resource was a big consideration for us. We also have relationships with a host of partners and are going through a period of rapid growth, so we needed to know that our IT system was going to be capable of supporting us to communicate efficiently during this expansion.”
To improve Engenie’s network, Dr Logic delivered a number of hardware upgrades including the installation of a state-of-the-art smart router and access points. This gives much greater visibility and control over their network and allows us to remotely troubleshoot issues. A dedicated engineer visits Engenie’s offices every month to provide a physical presence to deal with any complex issues that may arise. Day-to-day, they have access to our remote helpdesk.
“Dr Logic has also provided their services with care and understanding. They have made our life easier in so many ways and exceeded my expectations many times over. I would absolutely recommend them”.
- Nadia Zareh, Internal Operations Manager
