Basically, this is a well-thought-through package of IT services, solutions and tools that we not only recommend but know, from our experience of providing Mac support to businesses, will deliver what you need now and in the future.
There are 4 tools in your IT Tool Box that we pretty much insist you have. If that sounds arrogant, bear with us.
We only want to deliver an IT solution for you that’s efficient, scalable and secure. Our experience tells us that without the following we cannot confidently deliver on that promise:
You will need a Device Management platform. Especially with the amount of new tech you’ll be buying and the number of new staff we’ll be onboarding.
You must have an anti-virus solution in place.
All devices must be running on the current or previous 2 operating systems, whether they’re Macs or PCs. Old operating systems are buggy, insecure and inefficient; not something we want for our customers.
IT Security is our number 1 priority – so we will get you Cyber Essentials certification. And as a startup customer, we’ll deliver this with a 20% discount.
VIP status from our Service Desk Support
During your first month with us, any cases (tickets) you raise will have priority status with our Service Desk.
This doesn’t mean after your first month the service will become sub-standard! It simply means during the onboarding stage, whilst you and your staff are getting used to new systems and processes, we’ll give all your cases “VIP” status and they’ll have the highest level SLA.
In a nutshell, it means any initial teething problems are dealt with rapidly so you can get on with continuing to grow your business.
A Service-Desk-Support-Only Contract
We normally have a minimum user (no. of staff) of 25. But we waive this so we can work with startups whilst you’re building your business and your staff numbers.
We normally have a minimum monthly cost per user. But we flex this for startups as we recognise that you initially need all the help you can get from your new partners, including your IT Support company.
Onboarding and offboarding of staff
One of the major pain points for any startup is the speed that new staff needs to be recruited, onboarded and made operational and effective.
Conversely, when staff leave, for whatever reason, you need their IT closed down and their access removed quickly and securely.
We onboard and offboard all staff at no extra charge. This is factored into the monthly Service Desk support contract fee so you can recruit as many staff as you need without incurring any one-off onboarding fees.
Free Technical Consultancy
You know how commissioning the services of a consultant can be eye-wateringly expensive? Well, we provide our startup customers with free Quarterly Technical reviews with a Technical Consultant.
We do this because we believe that all our customers are experts at their jobs and should be allowed to continue being brilliant. But you can’t possibly be expected to also be an expert at IT, to know what IT improvements projects may need implementing, to know the latest releases, trends and IT Security issues etc.
This is what your Technical Consultant will advise on. And we won’t charge you for their time and their expertise.
Discounted Project Management fee
It’s rare for us to start to work with any new customer who doesn’t need at least one IT project implemented to deliver efficiency and security benefits. And startups are no exception.
So, for our new startup customers we offer a 20% discount on our IT Project Management fee for the first 12 months of our relationship (contract) with you.
And we’re not shy about saying that we benefit from this as well. It means we get to build the IT set-up that we want to manage going forward because it’ll be more efficient, scalable and secure.
We only sell you what you need
We never sell our customers what we think they don’t need. And our approach to our startup customers is no exception.
We put in place a structure that allows you to buy additional services as you need them.
Hands-on IT Engineers
For example, if an IT Field Engineer needs to attend your premises to fix, maintain or install something, this will be costed up, a quote sent to you and your approval gained before we incur any costs on your behalf.
Buying the best hardware, like Macs, doesn’t come cheaply. But as with most premium brands, the short-term hit on the budget will pay long-term benefits as cutting-edge tech lasts longer and performs better. We’re registered with the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) as a credit broker so we can introduce you to lenders to lease your hardware.
This not only cuts down on your capex but also means project fees for implementing the new hardware and the cost of your actual IT Support Contract with us may be able to be added, depending on the ratio of hardware to professional services.
And don’t forget, we offer our startups a 20% discount on project management fees so you won’t have to borrow as much.
Whichever finance option you pick (Hire Purchase, a Finance Lease or an Operating Lease) will mean you won’t have to compromise on quality or innovation because of budget constraints.
